"I LIKE ME" - LITERACY PROJECT
The NLR Rotary Club purchases and individually distributes special books for 700 kindergarten students in the NLR school district. Books are printed to have the following names: the child, two best friends, school, and principal. Theme of the book is learning to do the right things, stay away from harmful situations and substances and emphasizes self-esteem.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The North Little Rock Community Scholarship Fund raises money to provide scholarships to deserving graduating seniors from North Little Rock High School to help with higher education expenses. The committee is composed of Rotary Club members, NLR School District personnel, a representative from the PTA council, and individual volunteers. The chairman of the committee is appointed by the Rotary Club Board of Directors. During the past year, the committee raised over $18,000 and provided scholarships of $1500 each to 12 students.

RYLA
A four-day leadership camp for high school sophomore and junior students held at Ferncliff in West Little Rock. Our representative coordinates with the high school to select candidates and provides information and assistance to the students.

MAGAZINE PROJECT
North Little Rock Rotary Club members make their used magazines available to various organizations in Central Arkansas. Magazines are collected by committee members or brought to Rotary meetings and from there they are sorted and delivered to the organizations. At the present time, the following organizations are being furnished magazines: North Little Rock Boys and Girls Club, Willow House Complex, Robinson Nursing Home, Beverly Nursing Home, Retirement Center of Arkansas, North Little Rock Senior Citizens Center and Baptist Health Memorial Center - NLR.

ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY
Club members perform quarterly sweep of 2 bridges between North Little Rock and Little Rock.

JUNIOR ROTARIAN PROGRAM
High school selects senior students to attend Rotary meetings to gain an appreciation for volunteer organizations and community service.

OTHER PROJECTS/PROGRAMS WE SUPPORT
Hearts and Hooves Therapeutic Riding Stables, GSE (Group Study Exchange) Teams, International Youth Exchange, Polio Plus and The Rotary Foundation.
